Performed diagnostic on a 3.5-ton Goodman unit for a no-cooling issue. Upon arrival, found the blower motor running and the thermostat calling for cooling, but the condenser was not running. Inspected electrical components and found the dual capacitor failed and the contactor badly overheated. Also found the system drain line in need of cleaning. Presented repair recommendations to the customer, and customer approved repairs. Replaced the dual capacitor and contactor. Cleaned the condensate drain line and drain pan using a vacuum, flushed the drain with one gallon of water, and added Viper treatment to help prevent buildup. Tested system operation after repairs and checked system pressures, subcooling, superheat, temperature split, compressor amperage, condenser fan motor amperage, and blower motor amperage. Verified the system is now operating properly and cooling normally at this time. During inspection of the air handler, found bacterial growth buildup on the blower wheel and ins
Performed diagnostic on a 5-ton Rheem unit for no cooling. Upon arrival, checked system operation and found the indoor blower running. Thermostat was set to 66°F, with indoor temperature at 81°F. Inspected the condenser and found the condenser fan motor running backward, pushing air through the coil and pulling air from the top of the condenser. Checked electrical components and found the contactor badly overheated and the capacitor completely failed, causing the condenser fan motor to run in reverse. Contacted the homeowner, explained findings, and received approval to replace the contactor and capacitor. Replaced both components and tested system operation in cooling mode. After repairs, checked system pressures, temperature split, compressor amperage, and condenser fan motor amperage. All readings are within normal operating range at this time, and the system is cooling properly. During inspection of the air handler, found a significant amount of old squirrel nesting debris on to
Performed maintenance on a 2021 Goodman heat pump system. Completed full system maintenance including checking amperage and temperature, cleaning the drain pan, vacuuming and flushing the drain lines, and rinsing the condenser coil. During inspection, the contactor was found to be pitted. The customer approved replacement, and the contactor was replaced today. Surge Protection was recommended for the indoor air handler. Customer approved, and the surge protector was installed at the indoor unit. System is operating properly at this time.
Performed a full unit inspection on a 27-year-old 3-ton Trane heat pump system. At the time of inspection, the system was operating in cooling mode; however, after checking system pressures, subcooling, and superheat, I found the system is slightly low on refrigerant. This system uses R-22 refrigerant. I checked system pressures, subcooling, superheat, temperature split, compressor amperage, condenser fan motor amperage, blower motor amperage, and inspected all electrical components. During inspection, I found a burnt wire connection at the condenser capacitor that requires repair. I also found the condenser contactor badly pitted and in need of replacement. The electric heat strip contactor is also heavily pitted and should be replaced. Inside the air handler, I found heavy microbial growth throughout the cabinet, evaporator coil, and interior panels/covers. I performed a complimentary leak search and located a refrigerant leak at the evaporator suction line area. The evaporator c
Performed diagnostic on a 2.5-ton Goodman unit, approximately 10 years old. Upon arrival, found that the customer’s parent had been performing A/C maintenance and, after working on the blower, had placed a capacitor wire on the wrong terminal. This caused the blower motor to not operate properly. Corrected the wiring by relocating the wire to the proper capacitor terminal, then tested system operation. Blower started and ran properly after repair. Performed full system check, including system pressures, subcooling, superheat, blower motor amperage, condenser fan motor amperage, and compressor amperage. System is currently operating within normal range and cooling properly at this time. During unit inspection, observed that the condenser coil is heavily compacted with lint due to the dryer vent discharging too close to the condenser. Recommended condenser coil cleaning and rerouting or extending the dryer vent discharge away from the outdoor unit to prevent future airflow restriction
Underwood AC Installation (under previous homeowner) 2.5 Ton 14.3 SEER Goodman Split Heat Pump Condenser: GSZB403010A: 2301070673 Air Handler: AMST30BU14: 2301014444 T4 thermostat & 5 kw heat. Performed a diagnostic on the system due to a water leak complaint. Upon arrival, the customer advised that he had already attempted to clear the drain line by vacuuming it out, and the system was running at that time. After inspection, I found the return to be soaked and wet, confirming the drain line had been clogged. I presented the customer with options for drain line cleaning, a one-time maintenance service, or a service agreement. At this time, the customer chose to proceed with a one-time maintenance service. Since the customer had already successfully unclogged the drain line, I completed a full one-time maintenance on the system. Tested system operation in cooling mode and checked system pressures, subcooling, superheat, temperature split, compressor amps, condenser fan motor amps,

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions about our range of HVAC services. If yours isn’t mentioned, just get in touch with us and we’ll provide you with an answer as soon as possible.
It’s recommended to schedule HVAC maintenance at least once a year. For best performance, have your AC checked in the spring and your heating system serviced in the fall.
If your AC is over 10-15 years old, frequently breaks down, or struggles to cool your home efficiently, it may be time for a replacement. If the issue is minor and the unit is still in good condition, a repair might be the better option.
A sudden increase in energy costs can indicate an inefficient HVAC system. Dirty filters, leaky ducts, or an aging unit can cause your system to work harder, consuming more energy. Regular maintenance helps improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Change your air filter every 1-3 months, depending on usage, allergies, and pets. A clean filter improves airflow, helps maintain indoor air quality, and extends the life of your system.
During the summer, set your thermostat to 78°F when you’re home and higher when away. During the winter, keep it at 68°F for energy savings. A programmable or smart thermostat can help optimize comfort and efficiency.
With proper maintenance, most HVAC systems last 10-15 years. However, factors like usage, climate, and upkeep can impact their lifespan. Regular servicing helps extend their longevity.

Ductless AC systems are energy-efficient, easy to install, and provide zoned cooling for better temperature control. They’re a great option for homes without existing ductwork.
Regularly changing air filters, installing air purifiers, using a dehumidifier, and ensuring proper ventilation can significantly improve indoor air quality. We also offer professional air quality testing and filtration solutions.
Unusual sounds like banging, rattling, or screeching can signal issues such as loose components, motor problems, or airflow restrictions. If you hear anything unusual, it’s best to schedule an inspection before it leads to a bigger problem.
