That said, most people take one look at the club pricing and realize the membership basically pays for itself. But hey — we’ll let the math do the talking. Give us a call or fill out the form below to schedule your one-time visit, and we’ll take it from there.

What Do We Actually Do When We Show Up?

We don’t believe in basic maintenance. Every visit is what we call a Comfort Performance Visit — a detailed performance assessment designed to protect your comfort, your home, and your investment. Here’s what that looks like:

Outdoor System Performance Check: Full refrigerant and temperature diagnostics Compressor, fan motor, and capacitor testing Electrical inspection and tightening Condenser coil rinse (when needed) Condenser capacitor inspection and testing

Indoor Comfort & Airflow Evaluation: Blower motor testing and airflow verification Coil inspection Humidity and temperature performance readings Filter replacement (customer provided) Premium drain line treatment with Viper service. We can also discuss whether UV air sanitizer installation is a good option for improving your home’s indoor air quality.

When we’re done, we walk you through exactly what we found — in plain English, no jargon. Whether you’re a club member or booking a one-time visit, this is what you get every single time.

Why Underwood? (We Thought You’d Never Ask.)

We’re a local Florida team that takes HVAC seriously — but not ourselves too seriously. We show up on time, tell you exactly what we find, and never try to upsell you on something you don’t need. No runaround, no surprises, no funny business (well, except for the bear).

Here’s what you can count on when you’re an Underwood AC customer:

Honest, upfront pricing — what we quote is what you pay Friendly, uniformed technicians who respect your home Proactive maintenance that stops problems before they start Clear communication from scheduling to the final handshake A team that actually answers the phone (wild, we know)

Your AC Might Be Trying to Tell You Something.

And no, it’s not just being dramatic. HVAC systems give off warning signs before they fail — you just have to know what to look for. If any of these sound familiar, it’s time to give us a call:

Hot spots or uneven cooling between rooms Strange sounds — rattling, buzzing, grinding, or squeaking (none of which are good) Energy bills going up for no obvious reason Weak or inconsistent airflow from your vents Your system short-cycling (turning on and off way too often)

The good news? Catching these early is usually a quick fix. The bad news? Ignoring them tends to turn into an expensive Saturday emergency. We’d rather save you the headache — and the bill. If uneven cooling is caused by your home’s layout, we can also help you explore Mini split AC installation for more targeted comfort.

An Ounce of Prevention Is Worth a Pound of Refrigerant.

Skipping HVAC maintenance is one of those things that feels fine — right up until it isn’t. Dust builds up, components wear down, and small inefficiencies quietly stack up until your system is working twice as hard to do half the job. The result? Higher energy bills, more frequent breakdowns, and a system that taps out years before it should.

Whether you join the Cub Club or just book a one-time visit, getting a professional set of eyes on your system is always worth it. And if you do decide to become a member, we handle all the scheduling, remind you when we’re coming, and make sure your system is ready for whatever Florida decides to throw at it. Plus, as a member, if something goes sideways, you’re not waiting at the back of the line — priority service means we get to you faster.

Have a pool heater or mini split? We’ve got add-on coverage for those too — because why stop at just the main system?

Good Questions. We’ve Got Answers.

Don’t see yours here? Call or text us — we don’t bite. The bear might, but we won’t.

An HVAC service agreement is a maintenance plan that includes scheduled checkups for your heating and cooling system. These visits help prevent breakdowns, improve efficiency, and extend the life of your equipment — so you’re not scrambling when something goes wrong in the middle of July. At Underwood AC, our plans are called the Cub Club, and we’ve built them to take the guesswork completely out of HVAC maintenance.

We recommend at least twice a year — and all of our Cub Club memberships include two maintenance visits per year, scheduled in winter and spring. Arctic Club members also get an additional summer check-up, because let’s be honest, Florida summers are not the time to find out your system has been struggling. If you just need a one-time visit, we can work with your schedule year-round.

We call ours a Comfort Performance Visit — because we don’t believe in basic maintenance. Every visit includes a thorough outdoor system performance check: full refrigerant and temperature diagnostics, compressor, fan motor, and capacitor testing, electrical inspection and tightening, condenser coil rinse (when needed), and condenser capacitor inspection and testing. On the indoor side, we cover blower motor testing and airflow verification, coil inspection, humidity and temperature performance readings, filter replacement (customer provided), and premium drain line treatment with Viper service. When we’re done, we walk you through exactly what we found — in plain English, no jargon.

Yes. A clean, well-maintained system doesn’t have to work as hard to keep your home comfortable — and a system that isn’t working as hard uses less energy. Regular maintenance keeps components running efficiently, which tends to show up on your monthly utility bill over time. It’s one of those things that quietly pays for itself.

Our agreements cover your scheduled maintenance visits, not major repairs or part replacements. That said, if we find something during an inspection we’ll always tell you exactly what it is and what it’ll cost — no surprises. And as a member, you get a discount on any parts and labor we do: Polar Club members get priority scheduling, Cub Club members get 10% off parts and labor, and Arctic Club members get 15% off. So if something does come up, you’re in a better spot than most.

Honestly? Nothing — at first. That’s the problem. Dust builds up, components wear down, and small inefficiencies stack up quietly until your system is working twice as hard to do half the job. Eventually that turns into higher energy bills, more frequent breakdowns, and sometimes a full system replacement earlier than you’d planned. We’d much rather catch it early.

Absolutely. You can sign up for a Cub Club membership any time of year — there’s no waiting period or enrollment window. Just keep in mind that our scheduled maintenance visits run in winter and spring. If you need service outside of those windows, a one-time maintenance visit is always available and can be scheduled at your convenience.

Plan for about 1.5 to 2.5 hours for a standard Comfort Performance Visit — we’re thorough, and we’d rather take the time to do it right than rush through and miss something. Arctic Club members who receive the summer check-up should expect a shorter visit, typically around 30 to 60 minutes, since that visit is focused on a seasonal performance check rather than a full tune-up.

Yes — but we’ll let the math speak for itself. Two professional Comfort Performance Visits a year, priority scheduling, discounts on parts and labor, and $0 call-out fees. For most homeowners, the membership pays for itself before the year is out. And beyond the dollars, there’s real value in knowing your system has been looked at by someone who actually knows what they’re doing — before it decides to quit on a Saturday in August.

Don’t Wait Until It’s 95° and Your AC Calls It Quits.

Look, we get it — nobody wakes up excited to think about HVAC maintenance. But you know what’s even less exciting? Sweating through your shirt at 2 AM waiting on an emergency repair. Whether you’re ready to join the club or just want a one-time tune-up to see what’s going on, we’re here for it. Joining takes about two minutes, and frankly, all the cool kids are doing it. Literally — they have functioning AC. Pick your club, book a one-time visit, give us a call, or fill out the form below and we’ll take it from there.
