Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some commonly asked questions about our range of services in Haines City.
If your AC is blowing warm air, making unusual noises, or causing a sudden spike in energy bills, it may need repairs. Weak airflow, frequent cycling, and unpleasant odors are also signs of potential issues. Addressing problems early can prevent more expensive repairs or a complete system breakdown.
Common furnace problems include ignition issues, a malfunctioning thermostat, and clogged filters that reduce airflow. If your furnace is making strange noises, struggling to heat your home evenly, or turning on and off too frequently, it likely needs attention. Regular maintenance can help catch these issues before they lead to costly repairs or replacements.
If your water heater is over 10 to 15 years old and struggles to provide consistent hot water, it may be time for a replacement. Rusty water, leaks around the unit, or loud noises coming from the tank can also signal a failing system. Upgrading to a new model can improve efficiency, lower energy costs, and ensure a reliable hot water supply.
Ductless AC systems are energy-efficient, easy to install, and provide zoned cooling, allowing you to control temperatures in individual rooms. They don’t require extensive ductwork, making them an excellent option for older homes or room additions. These systems also operate quietly and improve indoor air quality by reducing dust and allergens.
The best pool heater for your needs depends on your pool size, climate, and budget. Gas heaters heat water quickly, making them ideal for colder regions, while heat pumps and solar heaters provide energy-efficient options with lower long-term operating costs. Consider how often you use your pool and whether you prioritize upfront affordability or long-term savings.
If your home has inconsistent temperatures, excessive dust, or unusually high energy bills, your ductwork may be leaking or improperly sized. Ducts that are over 15 years old may also develop cracks or gaps that reduce system efficiency. Replacing outdated ductwork improves airflow, enhances comfort, and helps your HVAC system operate more efficiently.
Air filtration systems remove dust, pollen, pet dander, and other airborne pollutants, creating a healthier indoor environment. High-efficiency filters, like HEPA filters, trap even the smallest particles, reducing allergy symptoms and respiratory issues. A well-maintained air filtration system can also extend the life of your HVAC unit by preventing debris buildup.
Poor indoor air quality can lead to allergies, respiratory issues, and even long-term health problems. Testing helps identify pollutants such as mold, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and carbon monoxide that may be affecting your home’s air. Once contaminants are detected, targeted solutions like air purifiers, dehumidifiers, or upgraded filters can improve air quality.
Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling by transferring heat rather than generating it, making them more energy-efficient than traditional furnaces and air conditioners. They work best in moderate climates but can still be effective in colder areas with an auxiliary heat source. Because they use less electricity, heat pumps can lower your energy bills while maintaining year-round comfort.

Performed a diagnostic after the customer reported the system was not reaching the set temperature. I checked the system operation and verified that the refrigerant charge is within the manufacturer’s specifications. I also checked system pressures, subcooling, superheat, temperature split, compressor amperage, and condenser fan motor amperage. All readings were within the manufacturer’s specifications, and the equipment is operating properly. During the inspection, I found the thermostat was reading 3°F different from my calibrated psychrometer. I calibrated the thermostat and inspected behind it, where I found a small gap around the wire opening that could allow wall air to affect the temperature reading. I sealed the opening with caulk and reinstalled the thermostat. After the repair, the thermostat and my thermometer both read 77°F, confirming the thermostat is now reading accurately. At this time, the system is operating normally, and no mechanical issues were found with the equ
This review is regarding the service I received from Victor. He was very professional and took the time to explain to me what he was doing. Thank you. Unfortunately, just notice today that once again the thermostat is showing a higher temperature that the one set. Temperature is set at 75 and the thermostat is showing 79 and going up.
Performed a complete system leak search and located a refrigerant leak at the suction line solder joint. The leak was confirmed using an electronic leak detector and bubble leak solution. Photos and video of the leak were taken and attached to the service record. I contacted the customer to explain the findings and discuss the necessary repairs. I also reviewed the benefits of the Arctic Maintenance Agreement, and the customer elected to enroll in the Arctic Maintenance Membership. The customer approved the repair. I pumped the refrigerant into the condenser, purged the system with nitrogen, and repaired the leaking solder joint. After the repair, I pressure-tested the system, and it held pressure with no signs of leakage. I then evacuated the system to 230 microns, confirming a proper vacuum before releasing the refrigerant back into the system. I recharged the system with a total of 5 pounds of R-410A refrigerant. Of that amount, 3 pounds were billed for this repair, while the rem
Diagnosis: Water was dripping from the ceiling due to a clogged condensate drain line. Inspection found standing water in the drain pan, causing the float switch to trip and shut the system down. Work Performed: * Performed Level 2 drain line service. * Cleared the condensate drain line. * Verified proper condensate drainage. * Confirmed float switch operation. * Tested system operation. Result: After completing the Level 2 drain line service, the system is operating and cooling properly. The condensate is draining correctly, the drain pan has cleared, and no water is dripping from the air handler at this time.
Performed evaporator coil cleaning in place. Removed all accumulated debris from the evaporator coil, then applied coil cleaner and thoroughly rinsed with water to ensure proper cleaning. Took before and after pictures to document the condition and results. The evaporator coil is clean and operating properly at this time. Recommendation: Replace the air filter monthly to maintain proper airflow and prevent future buildup on the coil.
2018 carrier - not cooling - verified issue, compressor overheated and condenser motor not functional. Verified proper voltage, condenser motor needs to be replaced.
Diagnostic on a 2023 Daikin heat pump. Upon arrival, the system was calling for heat; however, the outdoor unit was not running. Upon further inspection, found the thermostat wire running to the condenser had multiple wires completely snapped. Contacted Adam for pricing on an up-and-over thermostat wire run; quote was $450. Customer approved the repair and is awaiting scheduling from the office. Auxiliary heat is operating properly at this time for temporary heating.
Converted Proposal Summary Replaced Compressor and Filter Drier. Pressure test and vacuum went great. Added 7 pounds 4 ounces to system, it calls for 8 pounds 5 ounces. Owner told me yesterday she’d be home at the latest 2 PM. Waited 30 mins after and she still wasn’t home to add additional refrigerant or test pressures. Most of the Cub Club Preventative Maintenance was completed between yesterday and today. Only thing left would be to check amp draw on blower motor and check refrigerant pressures and add 1 pound 1 ounce of 410A. Due to not being able to get ahold of customer I left system off at disconnect.
Callout for AC - thermostat calling for cool, but system not responding. Found AH control board has failed.
All amp draws within proper range on blower motor, condenser motor, and compressor. Dual capacitor within tolerance. Airflow & system pressures within normal range. Drain service with viper spray and drain solution completed.
