Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some commonly asked questions about our range of HVAC services in Kissimmee.
If your air conditioner isn’t cooling as it should, is making odd noises, or has an unexplained increase in energy usage, it may need servicing. You might also notice weak airflow, unpleasant smells, or the system cycling on and off too frequently. Addressing these issues early can help prevent bigger, more expensive problems down the road.
Furnaces can develop problems like ignition failure, malfunctioning thermostats, and clogged filters that restrict airflow. If your system is making loud or unusual noises, struggling to maintain a consistent temperature, or shutting off unexpectedly, it likely needs repair. Regular maintenance can help detect these problems early and keep your furnace running efficiently.
If your water heater takes longer to heat water, produces inconsistent temperatures, or has visible rust or leaks, it may be time for a replacement. Tanks that are over 10 to 15 years old often lose efficiency and may require more frequent repairs. Upgrading to a new unit can provide better performance, improve energy savings, and ensure a steady hot water supply.
Ductless air conditioners provide targeted cooling, allowing you to set different temperatures in individual rooms, which can improve comfort and efficiency. They don’t require ductwork, making installation easier and reducing energy loss associated with traditional HVAC systems. Additionally, they operate quietly and help improve air quality by reducing dust and allergens.
Choosing the right pool heater depends on factors like your pool’s size, local climate, and energy efficiency goals. Gas heaters warm water quickly and are great for colder areas, while heat pumps and solar heaters are more energy-efficient but may take longer to heat the pool. Understanding your usage habits and budget will help you determine the best system for your needs.
If you experience uneven temperatures, excessive dust buildup, or rising energy costs, your ductwork may be damaged or outdated. Leaks, poor insulation, or improper sizing can cause your HVAC system to work harder than necessary, leading to inefficiency. Replacing old ducts can improve airflow, enhance indoor comfort, and help reduce utility costs.
Air filtration systems help reduce indoor air pollutants such as dust, pet dander, and pollen, improving overall air quality. High-efficiency filters, like HEPA filters, can capture microscopic particles that trigger allergies and respiratory issues. Installing an air filtration system can also help extend the life of your HVAC unit by keeping dust and debris from clogging components.
Indoor air quality testing can identify pollutants like mold, carbon monoxide, and volatile organic compounds that can impact your health. Poor air quality may contribute to allergy symptoms, respiratory problems, and long-term health issues. Testing allows you to find and address specific contaminants, whether through air purifiers, dehumidifiers, or upgraded filtration systems.
Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling by transferring heat instead of generating it, making them more energy-efficient than conventional systems. They work best in moderate climates but can still function in colder areas with additional heating support. Because they use less electricity, heat pumps can lower energy costs while maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures year-round.

Replaced the existing condensate pump along with both high-voltage and low-voltage wiring connections. Installed a new flexible drain line and flushed the system with approximately two gallons of water to ensure proper drainage. Tested the new condensate pump for correct operation. I completed a full treatment to eliminate all bacterial growth the air handler cabinet. Additionally, I applied microbial treatment to the exterior cabinet and plenum, and thoroughly wiped down the exterior surfaces. The unit has been fully sanitized and is operating in clean condition at this time.
A/C Maintenance Visit Summary Today we completed your first preventive maintenance on your Goodman 3.5-ton system with a two-zone setup. You mentioned the system wasn’t cooling properly, so we focused on identifying the cause and improving performance. What We Found & Fixed: We discovered that the bypass damper actuator was not installed correctly, which was allowing too much air to circulate improperly through the system. This can reduce cooling performance and increase humidity. • We corrected the installation, and the system immediately started working better. • Within about 15–20 minutes: • Your home’s humidity improved from 67% down to 55%, which is a big improvement in comfort. System Check & Cleaning: We performed a full system inspection and maintenance, including: • Checked electrical components (capacitor, contactor, motors) • Tested system performance (pressures, airflow, temperatures) • Cleaned the outdoor condenser coil • Flushed and treated the drain line to p
Performed full system inspection on the air conditioning equipment. Indoor Unit Findings: • Found bacterial/microbial growth inside the air handler cabinet, blower wheel, evaporator coil, and supply plenum. • Blower wheel and evaporator coil are heavily impacted and require removal for proper cleaning. • Supply plenum shows significant contamination and deterioration. Recommendations (Indoor): • Pull and clean evaporator coil. • Remove and clean blower wheel. • Sanitize entire air handler cabinet. • Install UV light to prevent future biological growth. • Recommend replacing the supply plenum due to condition (preferred), or cleaning and resealing as a secondary option. Drain System: • Found a secondary drain pan installed inside the return box with a safety float switch. • This setup is not typical and appears to have been added due to previous issues (possible drain clogging or system freezing). • Tested safety float switch — working properly at this time. Outdoor Unit Findings: •
Recommended performing a leak detection using dye to properly locate the source of the refrigerant loss. Property management requested that this recommendation be sent by email for homeowner approval before proceeding with further diagnostic or repair work. At this time, the system is running and cooling temporarily, however the refrigerant loss indicates that there is likely a leak in the refrigerant circuit of the system. This leak location should be located and repaired to prevent the issue from recurring. Services performed today: • Diagnostic of mini split system (game room – first floor, two heads) • Added 1 lb of refrigerant to restore temporary cooling; Approved by property management Recommendation/Estimate: • Perform a leak search with dye to locate the refrigerant leak and determine the necessary repair.
