Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some commonly asked questions about our range of HVAC services in Kissimmee.
If your air conditioner isn’t cooling as it should, is making odd noises, or has an unexplained increase in energy usage, it may need servicing. You might also notice weak airflow, unpleasant smells, or the system cycling on and off too frequently. Addressing these issues early can help prevent bigger, more expensive problems down the road.
Furnaces can develop problems like ignition failure, malfunctioning thermostats, and clogged filters that restrict airflow. If your system is making loud or unusual noises, struggling to maintain a consistent temperature, or shutting off unexpectedly, it likely needs repair. Regular maintenance can help detect these problems early and keep your furnace running efficiently.
If your water heater takes longer to heat water, produces inconsistent temperatures, or has visible rust or leaks, it may be time for a replacement. Tanks that are over 10 to 15 years old often lose efficiency and may require more frequent repairs. Upgrading to a new unit can provide better performance, improve energy savings, and ensure a steady hot water supply.
Ductless air conditioners provide targeted cooling, allowing you to set different temperatures in individual rooms, which can improve comfort and efficiency. They don’t require ductwork, making installation easier and reducing energy loss associated with traditional HVAC systems. Additionally, they operate quietly and help improve air quality by reducing dust and allergens.
Choosing the right pool heater depends on factors like your pool’s size, local climate, and energy efficiency goals. Gas heaters warm water quickly and are great for colder areas, while heat pumps and solar heaters are more energy-efficient but may take longer to heat the pool. Understanding your usage habits and budget will help you determine the best system for your needs.
If you experience uneven temperatures, excessive dust buildup, or rising energy costs, your ductwork may be damaged or outdated. Leaks, poor insulation, or improper sizing can cause your HVAC system to work harder than necessary, leading to inefficiency. Replacing old ducts can improve airflow, enhance indoor comfort, and help reduce utility costs.
Air filtration systems help reduce indoor air pollutants such as dust, pet dander, and pollen, improving overall air quality. High-efficiency filters, like HEPA filters, can capture microscopic particles that trigger allergies and respiratory issues. Installing an air filtration system can also help extend the life of your HVAC unit by keeping dust and debris from clogging components.
Indoor air quality testing can identify pollutants like mold, carbon monoxide, and volatile organic compounds that can impact your health. Poor air quality may contribute to allergy symptoms, respiratory problems, and long-term health issues. Testing allows you to find and address specific contaminants, whether through air purifiers, dehumidifiers, or upgraded filtration systems.
Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling by transferring heat instead of generating it, making them more energy-efficient than conventional systems. They work best in moderate climates but can still function in colder areas with additional heating support. Because they use less electricity, heat pumps can lower energy costs while maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures year-round.

Performed preventive maintenance on downstairs Unit #1, located on the right side of the exterior closet/mechanical room. System is a 2.5-ton Carrier unit. During the inspection, found the drain line T-fitting broken, causing drainage issues while the system was operating in cooling mode. Recommended replacement of the broken fitting, and the customer approved the repair. Removed the damaged T-fitting and installed a new one. After the repair, tested system operation in cooling mode and checked system pressures, subcooling, superheat, and temperature split. Also checked compressor, condenser fan motor, and blower motor amperage. All readings and system operation are good at this time. Cleaned the drain line and drain pan and added Viper treatment. Rinsed the condenser coil and removed debris from inside the condenser. Inspected the blower wheel and evaporator coil; both look good at this time.
Performed preventive maintenance on Unit #2, a Carrier 3-ton system located in the left-side exterior mechanical room. Checked system operation in cooling mode, including system pressures, subcooling, superheat, temperature split, compressor amperage, condenser fan motor amperage, and blower motor amperage. All readings and system operation are within normal operating conditions at this time. Cleaned the condensate drain line and drain pan and added Viper treatment. Rinsed the condenser coil and removed debris from inside the condenser. Inspected the system and found the blower wheel and evaporator coil clean. The system is operating properly and the condensate drain is draining properly at this time.

Performed service on the air handler following the previous visit by Mason, who installed the air handler control board and blower motor. At that time, the system was not communicating properly. Upon arrival, I connected to the Cool Cloud app and downloaded the air handler control board data, including the system settings and configuration information. The data was shared as required. I then verified the equipment at the rooftop and confirmed the system was properly configured and operating normally. Tested the system after completing the setup. The air handler is now communicating properly with the blower motor, and the system is operating and cooling properly at this time. The customer also reported water dripping from the fourth floor into the ceiling area and inside the air handler closet. The customer stated there is high humidity in the bathroom/closet area and that work is scheduled for tomorrow to investigate and locate the source of the water leak. Residents from the second
Performed a diagnostic on the apartment-over-garage unit. Customer stated that the safety float switch was repeatedly receiving water and tripping the system off. Inspected and tested the primary drain line and drain pan. The drain line is clear and draining properly, and the drain pan is not retaining any water. No blockage or drainage issue was found. During inspection of the evaporator coil capillary tubes, I found condensation forming on the tubing and dripping onto the UV light wiring, allowing water to travel into the secondary drain area. When the wiring was moved, visible water staining was present. I relocated and secured the UV light wiring with zip ties and repositioned the capillary tubes away from the affected area to prevent further condensation from contacting the wiring and draining into the secondary pan. Customer also has a humidifier operating inside the room. I explained that the HVAC system is designed to remove humidity from the space. The thermostat was set to
2018 Rheem -replace pitted contactor -clean and sanitize air handler for microbial growth -clear clogged drain line - replace rusted indoor capacitor
Performed a diagnostic on a 2.5-ton Goodman system. Upon inspection, found the system low on refrigerant. Performed a complimentary leak search on the evaporator coil and found a refrigerant leak on the lower right rear section of the coil. The evaporator coil is heavily contaminated with bacterial growth and debris, and additional bacterial growth was observed inside the air handler cabinet. The system capacitor is also out of tolerance, and the contactor is pitted. The condenser coil requires cleaning. The system is currently operational; however, it is operating outside the manufacturer’s specifications due to the conditions noted above. A full repair proposal was prepared. The customer also requested pricing for a new system, so I contacted the office and a lead was created for Kenneth. I collected the unit measurements, breaker size, and all necessary system information, which is attached to the service order.
Performed a diagnostic on a 3.5-ton Rheem gas furnace, approximately 15 years old (2011). Upon arrival, the thermostat had no display. I found the thermostat batteries were dead and that no common (C) wire was connected. I replaced the batteries and connected the common wire at the thermostat. After restoring the thermostat operation, I tested the system and confirmed that the indoor unit started and operated. However, the air-conditioning system has no refrigerant charge, indicating a refrigerant leak somewhere in the system. I explained the condition to the homeowner and recommended a complete leak detection to locate the source of the leak and determine whether it is repairable. The evaporator coil information is not available. The model and serial numbers on the coil/cover are completely scratched off and illegible, so the coil information could not be obtained. The homeowner declined the leak-search service at this time because the equipment is out of warranty. I also explaine
Performed a diagnostic on a 14-year-old Goodman gas furnace. Found the system short cycling due to low refrigerant charge. Due to current rain conditions, I was unable to complete a full system leak inspection. I performed a complimentary electronic leak search on the evaporator coil, checking the front, back, sides, underneath, and throughout the coil. No refrigerant leaks were detected at this time. A full system leak inspection will need to be completed on another day when weather conditions permit. I explained to the customer that if the leak cannot be located with the electronic leak detector, the next step would be to add UV dye at a cost of $244. If the leak is located with the electronic leak detector, the leak detection service will be $150. I also offered the customer a new system replacement proposal, but he would like to proceed with the leak search first. The system is temporarily down at this time
